Engineer in Verification and Testing

Our business is in an expansive phase and we are looking for an engineer who will primarily work with verification/testing at Systems Engineering and Verification in Karlstad/Karlskoga.

Your Role

Do you want to be where the action is? Do you enjoy the combination of practical and theoretical work? As a testing engineer at SAAB Dynamics, Missile Systems, you will be responsible for ensuring that verification and testing of missile systems are conducted according to system requirements and test plans.

In your role, you will ensure that our products meet customer requirements and expectations. You will participate throughout the project cycle to carry out, among other things, calculations, test planning, and practical verification through subsystem testing and system testing.

For the implementation, you will develop a test program where you collaborate with other parts of the organization to gather information and outline how the test will be conducted to ensure that the right things are tested/verified. During the execution, you will be responsible for the test and ensure that it is conducted correctly. Depending on the phase of the project, there may be smaller engineering tests at the subsystem level as well as test firings and environmental tests at the system level. Last but not least, the execution will be documented in a test report.

Your contribution will be crucial for the success of the projects.

Your Profile

We hope you are curious and have a desire to develop and learn new things. Furthermore, we see that you have the ability to easily assess the reasonableness of a system requirement/testing method to evaluate the value of the result. Since our projects vary in size, great demands are placed on your flexibility, as you may work on several projects simultaneously. Travel nationally and internationally may occur.

We are looking for someone who fits the description:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent
• Knowledge in some areas of mechanics, electronics, measurement technology, or development testing
• Experience in verification and/or system testing
• Proficient in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Practical
• Analytical
• Comfortable working outdoors
• Outgoing
• Comfortable taking a leading/driving role
• Has a valid driver's license

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, there may be requirements for certain citizenship.
